Ship Specifications Suggestions and Examples:
This is an old spec sheet for Salerian ships. As I recall it was worked out between Renva Beliel and Nick Bearing with the River Galley a modified light ram suitable for the Vosk. Further there are modified medium and heavy rams suitable for use on the Olni. The idea here being the Olni is described as narrower and swifter flowing then the Vosk, and it would be reasonable to think also deeper.

Each round ship, has a deep hold for merchandise. An oared vessel with a heavy, permanent rigging. Two-masted and the masts are not removable. Sail area proportionate to weight. The main mast shall be forward of amidships and the foremast some four or five yards aft of the ship's yoke. Both lateen sails and the yard of the foresail shall be half the length of the yard of the mainsail. The rowing areas closed to the air and fitted to carry from one to two hundred or more slaves in the rowing hold.The ratio of beam to length of keel, shall be one to six.
Three basic categories shall exist: light galley can freight about 80 to 100 tons below its decks, medium class can freight about 100 to 150 tons below its decks, and heavy class can freight about 150 to 200 tons below its decks. . All shall be identified with their name at three points on the ship, starboard bow, port bow, and stern.
